Privacy Policy
Staging draft — this text is a placeholder for the staging version of GradFairy. It is not legal advice, and it will be replaced with a final policy reviewed by counsel before any launch to real students.
What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash). When you build an announcement we collect the details you enter — your name, school, class year, where you're headed next, and your message — plus the photos and video you upload.
We do not collect your birthday.
What is public
Anything on a published announcement — your name, school, class year, Next Stop, message, photos, and video — is visible to anyone who has the share link. Do not put anything in an announcement you would not want shared.
How we use it
Your information is used to run the service: to sign you in, to show your announcement, and to count views on it. We do not sell your information. In this version of GradFairy no payments are taken, so no payment information is collected.
Photos and video
Photos and video you upload are stored so your announcement can be shown. By uploading them you confirm you have the right to share them.
Deletion
You can delete photos and your video from your announcement at any time in the app. To delete your account and announcement entirely, contact us through the app's support channel (to be added at launch).
Under-18 users
GradFairy is built for graduating seniors, many of whom are under 18. A parent or guardian should be involved when a minor creates an account. We collect no birthday and no payment information from graduates in this version.
Changes
This policy may change as GradFairy develops. The version in effect will always be posted here.
